The Future of ASP.NET Core

Microsoft has now introduced us to the next version of modular as well as open-source and cross-platform with the latest release of .NET Core 2.0, which was initially released in 2016. .Net Core was first created to have many API’s that are now available in the current release of .NET Framework. Its creation has now allowed in various ASP.NET solutions. Here, we are going to explore some benefits that the release of .NET Core has bought to the .NET developers' community and also we will highlight the future of ASP.NET Core.

.NET Core is an open source version of Microsoft .NET Framework. This is one of the most active open source projects where the renowned company like SAMSUNG has shown its participation in.
Some of the key features and improvements that the new .NET Core 2.1 provides has been listed below:
•    An open-source
•    Faster build and Runtime Performance
•    Improved compatibility
•    Microservices and Azure
•    Multi-platforms such as Linux, ARM 32, Windows 10 IOT also supports .NET Core
•    Supports command line tools 
•    Supported on Azure 10T Hub
•    Supported on Tizen4.0

The next version .NET Core 3.0 has been expected to be soon released around next year, 2019 or later this year (2018).
 
.NET Core 3.0 will include the following new features in it:
•    Supports Winform and WPF
•    Supports AI and IOT
•    Includes UNP AND XAML
•    Access to all Windows 10 APIs will be provided
•    .NET Machine Learning will allow us to build our own custom models
•    Blazer will be available
•    New app bunder for WPF and Winforms.

    .NET Ecosystem, how can .NET core fit in it?

The .NET Ecosystem consists of 3 high-level components; .NET Framework, .NET Core, and Xamarin. 

As .NET Framework is used for creating Windows applications using WPF and Web applications using ASP.NET MVC.
.NET Core supports Asp.NET Core libraries and UWP. It is used for building Web apps for Linux, Windows and Mac operating system whereas UWP is used in creating certain Windows 10 targeted apps.
Thus, look at the existing period of time, Microsoft now supports ASP.NET MC, Windows Forms, WPF and .NET Core, which makes it relatable to say that .NET Core has a bright future ahead along a long time in the field of the development process.
